All hail the Queen
I’m not usually one who likes to spread gossip. I’d rather write about news stories that are credible and have been confirmed by several media outlets.
But today, just this once, I am going to make an exception. This was one piece of juicy gossip that I couldn’t pass up.
All hail the Queen.
That’s right. Bow down ladies and gents. A royal wedding ceremony might be taking place at a castle near you!
OurChart, the lesbian social networking site I frequent on a regular basis (if you belong, add me to your chart! My profile name is Ldark21), reported yesterday on their daily blog that Queen Latifah is planning to tie the knot with her girlfriend of four years, personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins.
The source, according to OurChart, is “100% sure on this one.”
I’ve wondered for years if her royal highness was gay. Especially when a former fling of mine who frequents the gay bars in L.A. quite often said she saw the Queen hanging out in said bars on numerous occasions. There have always been rumors surrounding Queen Latifah’s sexual orientation but I didn’t pay them any attention because unless it’s blatantly obvious (ahem, Clay Aiken, ahem) or the person comes out on his or her own, there’s really no cause for excitement.
But, I can’t help myself on this one. There have been hints along the way. Remember the movie Set it Off? She played a bad-ass braided lesbian in that flick. Need I say more.
I would be perfectly happy to let the Queen reign over my lesbian sista’s. I’m all about U.N.I.T.Y. And I have to give her some credit. Her “girlfriend” is hot.
I guess she really knew what she was talking about when she wrote “Ladies First.”
The ladies will kick it, the rhyme that is wicked
Those that don’t know how to be pros get evicted
A woman can bear you, break you, take you
Now it’s time to rhyme, can you relate to
A sister dope enough to make you holler and scream
